RSF Terms of use
All transactions through the auction system are subject to terms and conditions (herewith called “Terms”) set out herein. To gain access to the RSF clock you agree to being bound by these Terms and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. You warrant that you have the legal ability to accept these Terms on behalf of yourself or any party you legally represent. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal or cannot be enforced, such invalidity, illegality or non-enforceability shall not affect the validity, legality or enforceability of any other provision of these Terms. All exceptions and limitations apply only to the extent permitted by Icelandic law.
- To be able to buy on RSF's auction-systems, a guarantee, validated by RSF or payment beforehand has to be completed.
- RSF is allowed to close an account without any warning if the guarantee is not valid or there is not enough credit for the transactions, if an invoice is not paid on due date or if there is any misuse of RSF's software/auction-systems.
- RSF does not give out any information about their customers, others than required by law, without their consent.
- The buyer is responsible for his connection and hardware used to connect to RSF. Further instructions can be found on the website, www.rsf.is . RSF is not liable for any damage which results from the fact that access was attained or not attained to the website or because any information published on the website was relied on.
We recommend that the computer that is used for the auction is restarted at least once a week to minimize the danger of having connection problems.
- RSF is not liable for any damage of possible malfunctions of the systems. The buyer understands that the systems rely on various variables and sources like fish markets and suppliers.
- The buyer shall connect to the auction in time to look at his credit limit and auction list which shows information about what is on sale.
- After the buyer has been assigned a password he is responsible for protecting it and guarding from being used by others. The buyer is responsible for all transactions that are made with this password.
- RSF runs a clearing house for the Icelandic fish markets and the auction system, but is not responsible for the activities of the fish markets or their employees.
- The employees have access to RSF's system and enter in the system what concerns their customers and that is the fish markets' responsibility.
- If a buyer needs corrections that concern their buying of fish, he shall revert to the relevant fish market. RSF does not interfere with disputes that concern transactions between buyers and fish markets.
- The purchase week starts on Friday and ends on Thursday. Invoices are sent out on Fridays and the due date is the Thursday there after. The payment deadline is a week after the invoices are sent out.
